monkey business

It doesn’t look *that* high, but I’m standing on the grass at the TOP of the slope. Those trees are lodged in the ground at the BOTTOM of the slope. The boys are suspended from a rope, which they assure me, is firmly anchored with a slip knot.

See?
They can get from one tree to another (comment for Kate: without stepping in the lava)

Does this picture give a bit of perspective?
They are a loooong way up!

knit some slip some

Last week I came across slip-stitch patterns and wanted to try it out just for the sheer fun of it. What easier way to give it a go than in a dishcloth? So I followed a pattern for the one on the left and then made up another one just to make sureĀ I understood the *principle* behind the magic. I Love the grippy-dirt-grabbing bobbly effect of *the pattern cloth* and would certainly make it again…..but I wanted to see if it would work with stocking stich too (of course it does).
